Millwork, drawn twice and built once

A study of the shop-drawing standard we hold on every project: reveals, grain direction, and hardware set before fabrication.

The brief

Cabinetry is where a build is judged at eye level. Grain direction and reveal consistency are decided on paper, not at install.

How we built it

  1. 01

Drew every elevation with reveal dimensions called out and approved before fabrication.

  2. 02

Sequenced veneer so grain runs continuously across adjacent doors.

  3. 03

Dry-fit hardware on a sample door to confirm finish under the room's actual lighting.

  4. 04

Installed with shims hidden behind a consistent scribe, not filler.

Outcome

A finish carpentry standard we now apply to every kitchen, library, and closet package we build.
